Ceramic has played an essential role in the history of arts in South-Korea, shaping traditions and customs since the paleolithical era. The advanced techniques invented by generations of Korean ceramists are still taught and passed on to young artists. The ancestral material, is constantly being reinvented by new generations of artists who find new ways to express contemporaneity.
